Recently, Gao Buwen, deputy general manager of China Tower (Tower Company) said that China Tower has become world's largest communication infrastructure service corporation by April 2016.
Statistics shows that China Tower's site assets have reached 1.55 million, consisting of 1.55 million communication towers, 795,000 base station rooms, 323,000 integrated cabinets, which are accounting for one third of the global communication tower resources.
In 2015, China Tower accepted 584,000 demands of tower construction and delivered 485,000 orders - 175,000 for China Telecom, 164,000 for China Unicom and 147,000 for China Mobile, which are respectively accounted for 70%, 42% and 19% of their total construction over the years.
Gao Buwen said China Tower adhered to the principle of "sharing prior to building new towers" and made use of millions of the stock tower assets under the vigorous impetus of MIIT, raising the sharing rate to 75%.
China Tower has shared 265,000 stock towers during 2015, 1.4 times of the towers built or shared accumulatively by three major operators by the end of 2014. China Tower has saved about CNY 50 billion industry investment, nearly CNY 4 billion maintenance cost and over 13,000 mu occupied land.
