On December 17th, China Telecom held the Device Industry Cooperation Strategy Release Conference 2016 in Beijing, general manager of China Telecom Marketing Department Liu Ping said at the meeting, 2015 is the first year for China Telecom's 4G development and China Telecom has achieved rapid growth in the market: ranking first in the revenue growth rate, device sales growth rate, mobile users growth rate and 4G subscriber penetration rate.
Judging from the industry, the telecom industry has suffered decline in 2015 (-1.9%) while China Telecom has achieved contrarian growth (0.4%); in the device sales growth rate, the whole industry has declined by 6.4%, while China Telecom increases by 3.7%; in terms of mobile users, subscriber growth rate of China Telecom is significantly higher than the industry; in the 4G user penetration rate, the average rate is 31% in the industry while China telecom has reached 42%. In other words, in the existing 197 million users of China Telecom, 4G subscribers have reached 81.72 million.
