Ministry of Commerce released final determinations of the anti-dumping case of Optical Fiber Preform

Ministry of Commerce announced the Notice No.25, which released the final determinations of the anti-dumping case of Optical Fiber Preform from Japan and US.

Ministry of Commerce determined that the imported Optical Fiber Preform from Japan and US have been dumping, as a result, China's domestic industry suffered from substantial threats, and there are causal relationships between the dumping and the threat, therefore Ministry of Commerce decided to adopt anti-dumping measures.

According to the final decisions, when importing the mentioned products, the importers should pay anti-dumping duties to China Customs according to the dumping amplitudes (8.0%-41.7%) that the notice released. The products are included in "Import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China" of NO.: 70022010. The imported products with diameters less than 60 mm are not included in this tariff number.

According to the preliminary decisions, the margin ratios of each company are as follows:

Japan companies:

1.Shin-Etsu Chemical Co.,Ltd.8.9%

2.Sumitomo Electric  Industries, Ltd. 7.8%

3.Fujikura Ltd.8.3%

4.Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. 8.3%

5.ALL Others 8.9%

US companies:

1.Corning Incorporated 39.0%

2.OFS Fitel, LLC. 16.9%

3.ALL Others 39.0%

For HeraeusTenevo LLC and other US companies that are not listed in the announcement, the products of Optical Fiber Preform originated in US can refer to the margin ratios of other US companies.
