China Unicom (600050) launched 3G videophone and roaming services in 11 countries and cities, including Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Britain, Germany and Egypt, reports 163.com.
China Unicom is the only domestic telecom operator that provides these services. Videophone calls dialed from the mainland to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will be charged six yuan per minute. Videophone calls dialed from China to other countries will cost 20 yuan per minute.
