Huawei and ZTE gained the LTE commercial contracts

On December 23, ZTE and Huawei signed the LTE commercial contracts with Hi3G (Nordic subsidiary of Hutchison), which allows they to deploy 2.6GHz LTE TDD / FDD network in Sweden and Denmark. The reason why Hutchison selected TDD / FDD dual-mode to construct LTE is not announced, but it will be the first large scale of TD-LTE commercial network deployment in the world; ZTE and Huawei, after they failed in the U.S. market, now has gained a firm foothold in Europe.

C114 informed the exclusive news, ZTE will deploy 500 base stations in Sweden, and will extended to 1000 base stations later, this is the first contract of TDD / FDD hybrid network, it also is ZTE's second commercial contracts after the contracts with Telstra CSL; Huawei has gained the similar scale of LTE orders, it also won the Polish mobile operator Aero2's LTE TDD commercial network last month, which is the world's first commercial TD-LTE contract.

Huawei declared that it now has 18 commercial LTE network contract in the global, and the contract will double next year, over half of the contracts will come from Europe; ZTE also announced that it has gained 7 LTE commercial contracts now, and at least will be 14 next year. (by Nye Sha)
