China Telecom (0728.HK) increased the number of 3G mobile phone models from 16 models to 107 models, with the average sale price falling from 3,169 yuan at the beginning of this year to 1,702 yuan.
In the first three quarters, CDMA mobile phones sales totaled 30 million units, up 49 percent year-on-year.

Sales of EVDO terminals totaled 5.28 million units as of September, accounting for 17 percent of the total sales volume of CDMA terminals.
A total of 272 models of CDMA cell phones priced at between 700-2,000 yuan, were on sale as of end September, accounting for 42 percent of the total cell phone market.
In the same period, 40 models of EVDO cell phones were on sale, with the average sale price decreasing from 4,476 yuan at the beginning of the year to 3,278 yuan.
