A source from China Unicom said that China Unicom's application store will be launched on August 19 in Shanghai. According to the strategy of China Unicom Group, the app store named WoStore App Store.

Currently, the WoStore has 1125 applications, which contains 445 games, 208 e-bookes, 294 titles, 113 tools, 16 entertainment applications. But all the applications is in beta, and there is no large-scale developer submit their applications.

When asked the specific listing time, China Unicom General Manager Lu Yimin said, China Unicom's beta version of APP Store has been online, the final version will be launched very soon.

" The new domain will not use the domain UniStore any more, in stead of WoStore" he added.

Unistore is first known by the public in November 2009, and was shut down after a short closed beta. (By Rosa )
