China Mobile has sold approximately six million units of TD-SCDMA mobile phones, General Manager of China Mobile's terminal Wu WeiNing said.
The number of users of the company's TD-SCDMA network totaled 10.46 million, of which 60 percent are users of China Mobile's TD-SCDMA mobile phones.
China Mobile invested more than 600 million yuan in 2009 in its cooperation with mobile phone manufacturers and chip manufacturers to develop TD-SCDMA mobile phones.
The company increased the subsidies for TD-SCDMA mobile phones.
Wu Weining, a manager of China Mobile, said that the company would launch the fourth phase of the TD-SCDMA network construction in the second half of 2010. This would increase the coverage of the TD-SCDMA network to 337 cities.
Wu added, China Mobile also is promoting the development of TD-LTE. HTC is the first company which launched 4G mobile device, China Mobile is looking forward to cooperate with excellent companies.
