In the competition of top five providers in the global wireless communication equipment market, Chinese manufacturers ZTE and Huawei both make breakthroughs.
According to the 2009 Market Research Report for the Global Wireless Communication Equipments released by a well-known research firm Infonetics recently, in 2009, the global wireless telecommunication market shares have changed a lot, which is attributable to the rising of the Huawei and ZTE’s ranking.
Computed by carrier frequency, Huawei has exceeded Nokia and Siemens with market share of 22.1%, ranking No.2, while ZTE exceeding Alcatel-Lucent with market share of 12.6%£¬ranking No.4. The rank of the market shares of 2009 global wireless equipment providers is Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia&Siemens, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent with market shares of 28.2%, 22.1%, 19%, 12.6% and 9.2% respectively.
From the overall market environment, Huawei and ZTE have all realized “overtaking at the bend”. The Infonetics report shows, under the impact of the global financial crisis, there is a 9.2% decline in the equipment market of 2009 global wireless access network, with revenue declining to 3.86 billion dollars from 4.25 billion dollars of 2008.
