Huawei Technologies released the first tripe-mode LTE modem that is able to back up LTE< UMTS and GSM technological standards. The modem is based on Qualcomm’s MDM9200TM chipset.
According to Enrico Salvatori, senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Europe, Qualcomm operates together with Huawei in order to offer new products that are based on the company’s industry-leading multi-mode 3G/LTE chipset to the market.
The E398 is created to meet increasing requirements of operators and also offer commercial LTE services that come with flexible evolution roadmaps. There is no need to wait for the completion of the LTE network as one can take advantage of the E398.
The modem will be available for Net4Mibility in Sweden. It should be mentioned that it will have an important role of the ecosystem and will provides a high quality surfing experience. Moreover, users will be able to benefit new mobility services in Sweden’s first nationwide 4G-network. The partnership of Qualcomm and Huawei will guarantee efficient as well as fast release of commercial LTE-services.
