Equipment manufacturers Juniper Networks and Nokia Siemens Networks have joined forces to reinforce their positions in the carrier Ethernet transport market.
The joint venture will focus on managing and executing the companies’ carrier Ethernet portfolio roadmap and extends on a previously announced partnership between the two companies. The companies already service some 200 joint service provider customers worldwide.
NSN and Juniper have joined forces to deliver service provider customers with interoperable carrier Ethernet solutions for mobile backhaul, business services and residential broadband networks. The planned solution consists of Juniper MX Series Ethernet Services Routers and NSN A-series Carrier Ethernet Switches and end to end network management systems.
The joint product will be sold by both companies during the fourth quarter of this year.
