As China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom are about to get 3G licenses this month, telecom equipment makers and value-added telecom services providers are seeing big opportunities.
Li Hongyu, the director at the marketing department of 263.com, a top-ranking corporate network telecom service provider in China, says that the company will take everything in its power to research and develop upgrade services and products for telecom carriers in the 3G era.
As the Chinese government is set to issue 3G licenses to three major telecom carriers within this month, China is coming into the 3G era.
China Mobile says that with the 3G network they can provide subscribers with services of video telephones, mobile Internet, mobile TV, video on demand, and so on, besides traditional 2G services.
