Samsung has surpassed Motorola as the top handset maker in the crucial US market, according to a new report.
Samsung has now captured 22.4% of the market, edging out Motorola – who now holds a 21.1% market share, according to Strategy Analytics. Fellow South Korean vendor LG has captured 20.5% of the market.
If accurate, the report is bad news for Motorola. Motorola held over 30% of the nation's market share just 12 months ago.
And according to InformationWeek, sales of Motorola's long-time biggest seller, the Razr, are beginning to slump.
