If you are Unicom users with mobile phone number section of 133 or 153, you are now China Telecom users. According to the related announcement of China Unicom and China Telecom, the original CDMA network operated by China Unicom was transferred to China Telecom on October 1st. However, most of the work during the transitional period is still supported by China Unicom. The CDMA network migration is estimated to continue until the end of this year or early next year. As a result, more than a million CDMA users in Hunan Province will be transferred to Hunan Telecom from Hunan Unicom.
The first transitional period of CDMA network migration starts from October and will last into November. During this period, service work is undertaken by China Telecom while the database is supported by China Unicom. According to the agreement, former protocol between CDMA user and China Unicom will continue. Major change in charge will not take place in the short term.
China Unicom will stop offering counseling service on April 1st. The transitional relationship between China Unicom and China Telecom will end in April, 2009.
