Chinese telecom equipment provider ZTE is negotiating the sale of a handset based on the Google Android platform and other customized smart phones to an undisclosed overseas telecom operator, reports 163.com quoting ZTE smart phone department manager Lin Qiang. T-Mobile is likely to be the carrier, said the report quoting an unnamed insider. ZTE projected in September that it would have sold a total of 100 million handsets by the end of that month.
