China Telecom has called in for the regulator to take measures to bring in moiré competitiveness in the country’s telecom sector especially with respect to resource sharing.
The company also brought to notice the fact that over third of the cable infrastructure is lying unutilized and maintaining such cables also incurs some cost.
With its merger with China Unicom’s CDMA business, the company is now looking for opportunities to share infrastructure with other operators. The company says such a move will ensure improved efficiency and also increase competition in the sector.
