China Telecommunications Corporation (China Telecom) has signed a contract with the Organizer of CCIR, Shenzhen Across Four Oceans Business Consulting Co. Ltd., to be CCIR 2008's global strategic partner.

After the successful cooperation in the First Edition of China Cup (2007), China Telecom and China Cup have decided to sign a mutual agreement to cooperate together again, based on the grounds of complementary strengths and common development.

As the CCIR 2008’s global strategic partner, China Telecom can use the CCIR's brand name and slogan during the event, and has the rights to use CCIR for enterprise brand spread, media advertisement, on-sight product display and high-class commercial reception, and possesses exclusive sponsorship opportunity in the industry of telecommunications.

Even more important, according to the agreement, China Telecom will have the rights to use one Beneteau First 40.7 yacht during the race, branding the hull, mainsail and clothing for crew with the name China Telecom BizNavigator.
