China urges China Mobile to step up TD-SCDMA rollout

China has urged China Mobile to accelerate its TD-SCDMA preparations to ensure the 3G mobile service will be ready for the the Olympic Games, the official Xinhua news agency reported citing ministry sources.

The report said China Mobile has been asked to upgrade TD-SCDMA networks, improve TD-SCDMA terminals and expand promotional acticvity.
