China Telecom  expects to complete the acquisition of China Unicom's CDMA network at the beginning of 2009, reports qq.com quoting China Telecom representatives from a telecom conference last week. An unnamed source said the entire deal was likely to be complete around March, 2009. China Telecom general secretary Weng Shunlai said previously that the initial phase of the takeover would be finished at the end of September with the entire process finished by the end of November.
