China Telecom (NYSE: CHA, 728.HK) general manager Wang Xiaochu predicts that two-thirds of its PHS users will leave the PHS network after the company takes over China Unicom's (NYSE: CHU, 762.HK, 600050.SH) CDMA network, reports The Beijing News. Wang said one-third of the PHS users will switch to CDMA. China Telecom is expecting to start offering CDMA network service as early as October, said Wang.
