According to the latest report of MIIT, total number of mobile phone subscribers have reached 1.44 billion by the end of February 2018, a net increase of 24.06 million from January to February.
From January to February, the number of mobile broadband subscribers (i.e. 3G and 4G subscribers) reached 1.17 billion with a net addition of 34.81 million, accounting for 80.9% of the total number of mobile phone subscribers. The number of 4G subscribers added 35.55 million and reached 1.03 billion, accounting for 71.6% of the number of mobile phone subscribers.
