China's Telecom Service Revenue up 7.7% by July

MIIT has announced the operation report of the first seven months of China's telecommunication industry recently.

The total telecommunications service volume in July has grown 71.9 percent to CNY222.4 billion in China, bringing revenue of CNY106.3 billion which has increased 7.7 percent year over year.

The total telecommunications service volume for the first seven months has risen 56.3 percent to CNY1.3215 trillion while the revenue jumped 5.9 percent to CNY751.7 billion year over year.

In the first seven months of 2017, mobile communication service revenue grew 5 percent to CNY544.5 billion, accounting for 72.4 percent of the telecom service revenue.

The fixed broadband service revenue was up 8.2 percent to CNY207.2 billion, representing 27.6 percent of the telecom service revenue.

The revenue brought by voice services gained 19.2 percent, falling back 5.8 percent compared with the same period of last year.

A 29.3 percent YoY increase occurred to the mobile service revenue.

During the months, China's three state-run telecom operators achieved revenue of CNY115 billion from fixed data and fixed Internet services, up 9.3 percent, equaling to 15.3 percent of the telecom service revenue, while mobile Internet service revenue has been raised by 29.3 percent to CNY320.9 billion, catching 42.7 percent of the telecom service revenue and driving the telecom service revenue growth by 10.2 percent.
