According to the data released by MIIT, China's mobile phone users have reached 1345 million by the end of March; mobile broadband users (3G & 4G users) hit 997 million, accounting for 74.1 percent of the total.
2G and 3G users steadily migrated to 4G, while 4G users increased rapdily to 836 million, accounting for 62.1 percent of the mobile phone users, up 1 percent compared with February.
In addition, China has added 23.57 million mobile phone users, 56.5 million mobile broadband users and 66.27 million 4G users.
China's fiber access users reached 246 million, including users of up-50-Mbps fixed broadband access users which accounted for 50 percent. The three major operators' fixed broadband users reached 310 million with a net addition of 13.89 million in the first quarter of this year.
