CBN will drive the construction of backbone transmission network during the 13th Five-Year Plan, according to Zeng Qingjun, deputy general manager of China Broadcasting Network Ltd. (CBN).
The company planed to build optical cable lines of 46,305km to promote 100G OTN, of which some key lines 400G/1T OTN will be deployed in. CBN has been determined to increase the basic capacity of its nationwide network dramatically and make it important information network in China.
Technically, its total network capacity will be expanded to 2Tbps; its basic transmission network will cover all the municipalities and capital cities in the country while CBN will initially deploy the 80×100Gbps OTN transmission system.
