Movida, the USA based Latino-focused
MVNO has been brought by Cozac, a subsidiary of APC Wireless. The acquisition of Movida and Liberty Wireless (acquired January 2008) enhances APC Wireless¨s MVNO strategy.

While the company, the rate plans, and subscriber contracts remain the same, the user experience will improve. Through its expertise in hand set fulfillment, software customization services, expansive buying power, and strong balance sheet; Movida subscribers can expect increased satisfaction in services dedicated to the Latin market.

The financial details were not provided - although as the company is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection they will have to be published shortly.
Movida Communications was founded in 2005 and aimed to offer bi-lingual MVNO services operating on the
Sprint CDMA network. In late 2007 the company''s headquarters relocated from Miami, Florida to Kansas City, Missouri in order it said to be more central to its national customer base. It''s worth noting that its new head office is just down the road from Sprint Nextel - which provides its MVNO services.
