USA based Alaska Wireless has selected Tecore Networks¨s Rural Village System (RVS) as the exclusive infrastructure solution for the build-out of the remote regions of Alaska. Tecore says that the operator found that most vendors of rural cellular infrastructure could only provide parts of the network, whereas Tecore has been delivering turnkey mobile networks including core platform and radio access network for over a decade.

Alaska Wireless was further convinced by innovative features such as the patent-pending Over The Air Prepaid Roaming, allowing operators to generate revenue from out-of-network subscribers without roaming agreements.
