TeliaSonera signs SEK 280 mln contract with Posten

TeliaSonera has signed an agreement with Swedish postal service Posten for fixed and mobile telephony and for the modernisation of Posten''s internal network. TeliaSonera will be responsible for Posten''s internal communication platform, which comprises 5,000 fixed PBX connections, 4,500 mobile extensions and 11,000 mobile telephones. The agreement also covers voice traffic. TeliaSonera will also upgrade Posten''s company network to an IP-based network with increased bandwidth. The company network includes 900 offices and over 1,600 delivery locations for Posten in Sweden. The agreement also includes a number of options for TeliaSonera to deliver additional communication services to Posten. The order value is approximately SEK 280 million distributed over three years.
