huawei launches three cutting-edge usb modems

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next generation telecommunication network solutions for operators around the world, has launched three cutting-edge USB Modems at the recent GSM>3G Middle East & Gulf congress and exhibition.
Alongside its full range of terminal products, including WCDMA mobile phones, HSDPA data cards, HSDPA wireless gateways, and other 3G terminals, Huawei exhibited its three new USB modems: - The E270, with its fashionable and simple appearance, is the very first HSUPA USB Modem in the world. The downlink rate can reach 7.2 Mbit/s and the uplink rate can reach 2 Mbit/s. In addition, the E270 supports multiple modes like HSUPA, HSDPA, WCDMA, EDGE, GPRS, and GSM. With a standard mini USB interface, the device can work with any laptop or PC that has USB interfaces. - The 6-centimetre long EG162, in the shape of a flash memory stick, is the first plug-and-play (PnP) EDGE USB Modem in the world. It supports multiple modes like EDGE, GPRS and GSM. There is no software installation required making the device extremely easy to use. - The EC226 is Huawei''s first USB Modem supporting EVDO Rev. A. Huawei¨s USB Modems have continued to win the favour of carriers around the globe, its customised products are currently being introduced by over 150 carriers, including Vodafone and T-Mobile. Relying on its deep understanding of carriers'' requirements and its leading R&D strengths, Huawei has launched dozens of multi-mode data connectivity devices, supporting various technologies such as HSUPA, HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, CDMA EV-DO, and CDMA 1X.
