CDG Announces 2008 3G CDMA North America Regional Conference On the Future of Wireless Broadband Ser

Leading Carriers, Vendors, Content Providers and Analysts Will Convene November 19-20 in San Diego to Share Their Successes and Opportunities for CDMA2000

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) ( www.cdg.org) announced today that the annual 3G CDMA North America Regional Conference will be held at the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego, CA on November 19-20, 2008. The conference will provide a forum to discuss the current path of CDMA2000(r), the future of wireless broadband and an extensive look at wireless services and the mobile marketplace. Leading operators and content providers will discuss several revenue-generating mobile broadband services being enabled by EV-DO Rev. A, including social networking, mobile commerce, mobile advertising and Push-to-X. The conference will also discuss future network interoperability, as operators look to complement their core 3G CDMA assets with OFDM-based broadcast and broadband solutions including DVB-H, FLO, 802.11n, Mobile WiMAX and LTE.

"This year has brought continued innovation and success to CDMA2000 operators, with increased emerging market penetration, expanded device availability and increasing wireless data revenues," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG.
