Today announced by Jingwei International Limited, the China-based provider of data mining and customer relationship marketing services, is the signing of a strategic agreement with Hisense Transtech. The agreement between the two companies will allow them to co-develop "intelligent bus stops," which will communicate real-time bus location information and consumer advertisements. Under the agreement, Hisense Transtech, a provider of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions, will provide Jingwei with GPS and other necessary support systems. Jingwei will then build out the network of intelligent digital bus stops and obtain the advertising rights for each city. With a customer database of over 300 million Chinese consumers, Jingwei allows leading Chinese companies to reach their target audience. Hisense Transtech’s proprietary solutions and products have been widely adopted by the municipal governments in China, including Beijing and Qingdao. Chief Executive Officer of Jingwei International, Regis Kwong, stated, "This agreement represents another step in our ongoing efforts to develop an innovative media advertising platform. Hisense Transtech is the industry leader in deploying advanced ITS for municipal governments across China. The partnership will provide us with the leading technology to develop the intelligent digital bus stop network and allow us to leverage Hisense Transtech's customer base to expand our network coverage." Chen Wei Qian, general manager of Hitech Transtech, said, "We are very excited to work with Jingwei to develop the country's first large scale intelligent digital bus stop network and provide our proven technology to a broader base of customers." In the future, Jingwei plans to evolve into an integrated marketing platform with targeted outbound sales campaigns via mobile phone advertising, and customer service/order fulfillment at call centers throughout the country.
