Honor recently announced that the total sales of Honor Play 4X in domestic exceeded 10 million, which was the first mobile phone that has reached 10 million sales after Honor became an independent brand.
CEO of the Huawei Consumer BG ,Richard Yu, said, a large number of mobile phone vendors will disappear in the next few years and only 2 will survive in the world, and Huawei has maintained high speed growth. Richard Yu said Huawei brand will gradually withdraw from the low-end market and mainly focus on the above-2000 yuan and above-3000 yuan devices, while the devices less than 2000 yuan will be fully delivered to the Honor brand.
At the Honor 7 release conference on June 30th, Richard Yu said that Huawei and Honor have become “two brands”, and may take independent roads in the future. Honor will make up for Huawei’s weakness in the Internet channels by creating an independent brand.
President of Honor, Zhao Ming, said that Honor is defined as an Internet E-commerce brand in the selling channels, including Jingdong, VMALL, Tmall, Suning and other major malls, the online sales are made up over 65% of its sales share, while Honor has started comprehensive introgression into the off-line channels in 2015.
With the breakthrough of 10 million sales of Honor Play 4X, what is the next target? Richard Yu said “Honor hopes to create popular devices with more than 20 million or even 30 million sales in the future."
In the global market, Honor has entered into 74 countries and regions, and will mainly develop in India, Mexico, Indonesia and several major European countries markets in this year, at the same time, it will also make preparation to enter into the US market.
When talking about the future devices of Huawei, Richard Yu revealed that mate 8, the first smartphone equipped with next generation of HiSilicon chip, will be available in this year, and the new chip's excellent performances will be better than the competitors. He believed that it would bring huge impact to the industry.
