ZTE released its strategic plan of flagship mobile phone: be more focused on high-end market

ZTE held the strategic conference of AXON flagship series in Shenzhen on October 11st, officially releasing its strategic plan of flagship mobile phone for the first time.

Adam Zeng, the executive vice-president and CEO of device business of ZTE, said that ZTE has put the operation of high-end flagship mobile phone business into front-and-center. “ZTE will be more focused on the high-end market, build a new brand image by the high-end flagships and strengthen its operation in the 20 major countries in the world to promote and consolidate ZTE's share in the global high-end market."

In his opinion, innovation was regarded as the core competitiveness of ZTE and also its DNA. After nearly two years of tough transformation, ZTE has come into the forefront of the industry in technologies, innovations and user experiences, in the next stage, it will make progress in the retail channels and brands.

According to ZTE's plan, it will open 500 domestic brand zones, 8,000 domestic cooperation zone counters and 30,000 overseas cooperation zone counters in the future. "We have launched in-depth cooperation with traditional public channels including D.phone, Gome and others."

In addition to extensively expanding the off-line public channels, ZTE will also make progress in the operator and E-commerce channels at the same time. ZTE has always been doing well in the operator channels, while it has also formed close cooperation with Jingdong and other mainstream platforms in the E-commerce channels.

It is reported that ZTE will launch the “Global VIP Passport” customer care program based on its advantage in the globalization layout, it will create exclusive services for the AXON flagship series users and provide the most intimate and most exclusive customized care, including AXON flagship VIP customer value-added services, personal customized services, overseas roaming packages, business travel VIP plans, overseas emergency support plans and others.

ZTE believes that the competition in the future must relies on the ecology for the technology industry, and ZTE is creating a “developer forum” with an open mind, which will take the photograph function, Hi-Fi and 3D touch as its three major applications development direction, it will open the interface and hardware platform and promote the implementation of standards, in addition, it will co-build the ZTE Apps Store with the developers by profit sharing and other business models, providing an innovation platform for them.

At the same time, ZTE will integrate with the world's top industry chain resources and cooperate with Google, Tencent, Baidu, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Sharp, Samsung, Sony, AKM and other first-class software, hardware and services providers to upgrade the win-win cooperation of the global industry chains. The “Voice Alliance” with voice strategy as its core is an attempt of ZTE’s ecological layout, and it will continue to invest in the future.
