Nubia has released two smartphones recently, namely Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini, both of which support all the 4G networks. The general manager of Nubia Ni Fei said in an interview that the all-network supporting smartphones will soon become the mainstream, even standard configuration.

The so-called all-network supporting smartphones refer to those fully support all the 2G/3G/4G networks in domestic, and can achieve global roaming. Because you can change the phone numbers without changing your mobile phone, it brings great convenience and therefore attracted more and more consumers.

However, for the telecom operators, as the emergence of all-network supporting smartphones reduces the cost of changing phone numbers, it actually results in decreased user stickiness for the operators. "We have done extensive communication with China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom," Ni Fei said, the telecom operators were not much against all-network supporting smartphones, after all, the whole business competition among the operators was the main aspect, the all-network supporting smartphones can bring better user experiences and is also very helpful from the perspective of inventory.

As a sub brand of ZTE, the sales of Nubia smartphones has drew much attention from the outside. According to the financial statements of ZTE that released recently, the total sales of ZTE smartphones were 48 million in last year. As Ni Fei revealed, the sales of Nubia smartphones was 5 million in last year and the goal in this year is to break through 10 million units.

The small sales made Nubia gradually become a niche brand, and the focus on camera also leave a small but beautiful impression to the customers. For the development of Nubia in the future, Ni Fei said that mobile phone industry has went through ups and downs in domestic, many enterprises have gained high shipments in the first year, but multiple problems emerged in the second year. Nubia mainly purses a steady development in domestic market at present, but it will also selectively enter into some foreign markets, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries.

When faced with the fierce market competition in smart devices, Ni Fei said that Nubia will still insist on smartphone industry, because it is still the core at present, while wearable devices and smart home products are just peripheral products, so Nubia won’t invest too much currently.
