CAICT of the MIIT released domestic mobile phone sales data of December 2014 and the whole year recently.
In December 2014, the overall shipments of domestic mobile phone market were 45.11 million. Of which the 2G mobile phones were of 6.562 million, 3G mobile phones were of 7.16 million and the 4G were of 31.389 million.
In the whole year of 2014, the overall shipments of domestic mobile phone market reached 452 million, of which the 2G mobile phones were of 60.497 million, 3G mobile phones were of 220 million and the 4G were of 171 million, accounting for 13.5%, 48.7% and 37.8%, respectively.
In 2014, shipments of the domestic brand mobile phones were 354 million, with a 23.3% year-on-year decline; shipments of smartphones were 389 million with an 8.2% year-on-year decline, and the market share reached 86%, shipments of Android mobile phone reached 349 million with a 12.4% year-on-year decline, which accounts for 89.7% of the smartphones.
