etisalat and RIM launch BlackBerry Bold in UAE

etisalat and Research In Motion (RIM) on Saturday announced the availability of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone in the Middle East. From October 7, etisalat customers will have the opportunity to experience a top of the line smartphone with an unbeatable combination of elegant design and advanced functionality for a great 3G experience. They will be able to access various applications and use the phone for business and entertainment while staying connected through etisalat's high-speed packet access (HSPA) network with speeds of up to 7.2 megabytes per second (Mbps). The BlackBerry Bold features a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor that makes short work of downloading e-mail attachments, streaming video and rendering web pages. Customers will be able to choose from three customised subscription plans from etisalat that meets different customer needs. The Unlimited Domestic subscription plan provides unlimited access to BlackBerry Services within the UAE for Dh185 per month while the Unlimited Global subscription plan is suitable for customers travelling regularly outside the UAE. It gives them unlimited usage of the BlackBerry Service both in the UAE and abroad for Dh295 per month. BlackBerry Unlimited subscription plans for both Global and Domestic provides unlimited access to internet and BlackBerry Services, where as the Limited Domestic subscription plan offers 3MB of data access per month for users who don't require intensive usage for Dh130 per month.
