Motorola unveils two low-end mobile devices

Motorola has introduced two new handsets in the low-end, namely the W388 and VE538.

W388 is a music-enabled phone which Motorola claims has a long lasting battery life, music player with motoID4, VGA camera, dual-band GSM support, enhanced voice clarity due to Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology. The handset supports seven African languages.

The handset is expected to roll out in market in Q3 2008 with market price of $100.

The second launch of mobile in the low-end handset category is 3G mobile phone, the VE538. The handset helps in one-click mobile social networking, photo uploading and blogging at various websites, says Motorola. The cost of this handset is expected to be less than $250.

These two low-end mobile devices are expected to be launched first in Asia-Pacific markets by September.
