ZTE USA has unleashed its C79 handset on the U.S. market via MetroPCS. The handset operates on AWS frequency bands in addition to the PCS and cellular bands. 

The handset is a full-featured CDMA AWS flip phone that includes more than 60 MB of user memory for downloading games and applications as well as an MP3 player with external music keys. 

The C79 also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and picture messaging.
