Nokia and Nokia Siemens denied on Tuesday they were part of a sales deal with China Communications Services Corp Ltd, ZTE and Huawei.
China Communications Services said earlier on Tuesday it had agreed to form a partnership with Nokia, ZTE and Huawei to sell telecoms equipment to overseas markets.
"We have worked with this company before, but such co-operation does not exist," Riitta Mard, spokeswoman for Nokia''s telecom equipment
arm Nokia Siemens told Reuters.
A Nokia spokesman said the handset maker was not involved either.
Incoming chairman and current vice chairman Li Ping told reporters on Tuesday the three wireless gear vendors -- China''s ZTE and Huawei and Europe''s Nokia -- would jointly sell to markets beyond China, while China Communications provides telecoms infrastructure support.
He declined to say which markets they would target, or to elaborate on details of the partnership. China Communications is an engineering and technical services provider and a partner of Cisco Systems Inc in its home country.
