MIIT released the electronic information manufacturing sector operation report of the first five months this year on July 4.
Over all, the development of electronic information manufacturing sector is stable and moving in a positive direction. The industry production growth continued to rise with an improved export situation while benefits are good in general.
In the period, China has produced 768.76 million mobile phones, a 9.1 percent decline, accounting for 73.4 percent of the total number around the world, among which 563.99 million are smartphones which grew 7.5 percent year-over-year, according to the data.
