Updated:2017/3/1 10:20

MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS, BARCELONA, SPAIN, FEBRUARY 27- Baicells Technologies has announced today that, after joining the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) in 2016, their LTE eNodeB small cell will be included in TIP's RAN unbundling project demonstration hosted by SK Telecom this year at Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC). This collaborative demonstration will exhibit an open interface, virtualization, and a cloud computing solution.

This collaboration aims to create a more open market environment for the industry. Baicells Technologies joined the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) at Mobile World Congress in 2016, hoping to work with all operators, infrastructure providers, system integrators, and other technology companies to develop new technologies to contribute to the future of telecom networking.

"It is a great honor to join the Telecom Infra Project, and we thank industry partners for providing us the opportunity to participate in the project. This collaborative demonstration is in line with our vision of an internet connection within everyone's reach, and we always hope to work together to reimagine the traditional approach to building and deploying telecom network infrastructure," commented Mr. Lixin Sun, CEO of Baicells Technologies.

"With new technology to help operators and the entire ecosystem to create a more open network environment, we hoped every module in the demonstration would go well. Our small cell product, in collaboration with industry partners, will help operators to build a more flexible, innovative and efficient network," continued Mr. Sun. "We are thrilled to share this moment with all operators and technology enthusiasts who are excited to see a small cell with unlimited potential."
