At the Market Conference Award Ceremony held last week, Huawei announced its revenue target of 2016 is $81.8 billion, a 36 percent rise over the revenue of 2015.

According to the new year speech of Huawei, its sales revenue achieved about $60.1 billion (CNY 390 billion) in 2015, and profit and cash flow have kept steady growth. This number means that Huawei has surpassed Cisco (sales revenue of $49.2 billion in 2015), becoming the winner after years of competition; This number is also more than twice the total revenue  of the three domestic Internet giants--BAT (Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent) in 2014.

Huawei had previously set the 2018 revenue target of $70 billion, which was calculated at a compound annual growth rate of 10%, while its revenue has increased by over 35% in 2015.

The 2016 revenue target of $81.8 billion is setting based on the market trend and Huawei’s prospective strategic opportunities. Ren Zhengfei, founder and CEO of Huawei, said that 4K/2K/4G and enterprises’ and governments’ demands for cloud services create strategic opportunities for network and data centers; Huawei’s consumer business need to accelerate its device business deployment in 170 countries with the protection of intellectual property rights. In addition, Smart City, transformation of IT to cloud framework in the financial industry, digitalization of power industry and governments’ and enterprises’ demands for cloud services are all important strategic opportunities for enterprise business.

Consumer BG is Huawei’s another trump card, and Ren expected the sales revenue of device business to exceed $100 billion in the next 5 years.

According to Huawei, global connections will exceed 100 billion by 2025 when connections will come into every corner of our life, just like air and water. Internet of Everything and Big Data will drive the new intelligentized industrial revolution and traditional industry upgrading, reconstructing the industrial civilization and commercial civilization. Industrial innovation focus will migrate from consumer Internet to industry Internet, which will make it a better world. Internet of Everything and being online anytime will become the new norm. According to Meng Wanzhou, Huawei's CFO, the pipe industry that Huawei has focused on will become the key to supporting industry Internet, which will make the market space reach $400 billion in 2025.
