ZTE IP RAN Equipment 9000-E Successfully Participates in EANTC Interoperability & Feasibility Test

Updated:2015/3/18 14:11

ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, has announced that its software defined network (SDN)-based IP RAN equipment, the ZXCTN 9000-E, has successfully participated in the European Advanced Networking Test Center’s (EANTC) interoperability test.

The EANTC is one of the world's leading network interoperability centers. The company is located in Berlin, Germany, and is among the industry's most authoritative third-party independent test labs. ZTE and 17 other vendors participated in the test, including Alcatel-Lucent, BTI Systems, Calnex, Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei and Juniper Networks. With excellent performance, ZTE equipment successfully interoperated in several tests featuring devices from other leading manufacturers in SDN/multiprotocol label switching (MPLS)/precision time protocol (PTP). ZTE’s equipment exceeded expectations in the fields of MPLS network switching speed and PTP clock locking precision.

As a world leading communications equipment and solution provider, ZTE has made a significant investment into the research and development of SDN, and passed the OpenFlow consistency certification test and PlugFest interconnection test organised by BII Engineering Center (Beijing Engineering Research Center for Next Generation Internet Key Technology and Evaluation) in 2014. Through the use of SDN, ZTE bearer network products can help customers improve network service capabilities, and make these networks better serve the applications.
