Kuwait's Mobile Telecommunications Co., or Zain Group, which is currently operating Lebanon's MTC mobile network, said it's no more interested in acquiring one of the two mobile licenses that will be granted by the Lebanese government, Beirut-based Al Akhbar daily reports Monday.

"Work in the Lebanese market is still perplexing, and if we have deployed anywhere in the world tenth of the efforts we did in Lebanon, the financial payoff would be much higher," the paper reports citing Saad Al Barrak, Zain's chief executive in an interview with Aalam Al Tijara magazine.
