Alcatel-Lucent and Jeskell team up to deliver unique user-centric security solutions for enterprises
Updated:2008/11/26 13:07
Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and Jeskell, a leading provider of IT security consulting, remediation and managed services, have entered into an agreement to deliver unique enterprise network and information security solutions. These solutions help customers achieve maximum return on their security investment by combining Alcatel-Lucent’s security products with Jeskell’s security services, offering enterprises the option to obtain security gap analysis and remediation from the same team. Alcatel-Lucent’s security products focus on the end user’s activities on the system and provide the fine-grained controls needed to protect the system. These products also provide the audit trails needed to secure corporate networks and protect against information security breaches, creating a corporate-wide security infrastructure that enables customers to meet various industry-specific compliance requirements such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Alcatel-Lucent’s commitment to open standards combined with Jeskell’s use of open source platforms can mean lower IT security costs for enterprise customers. Alcatel-Lucent and Jeskell can also provide external management of the customer’s security infrastructure, relieving enterprises of the need to maintain the expertise and equipment required for around-the-clock monitoring of their increasingly complex networks. “These two companies have the required experience and compelling solution suite to meet critical business needs,” said Michael Suby, Director at Stratecast (a Division of Frost & Sullivan). “Alcatel-Lucent security solutions arm enterprises with robust tools that not only allow them to meet today’s security and compliance regulations head-on but also to safely and confidently leverage broadband communications and the Internet to provide ubiquitous access to business applications for their employees and business partners.” “Enterprises should seek nothing less than a strong and resilient security program that protects corporate information with documented run time user controls and audit capabilities. This partnership lets customers achieve these goals in one stop,” said Michel Emelianoff, Vice President of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Security. “With an independent network embedded security infrastructure, there is a reduced risk of an information security breach or fraud.”
