Fairpoint 3.65GHz WiMAX Contract

FairPoint Communications has contracted Nortel Networks to supply what is currently the largest planned WiMAX network running on the unlicensed 3.65GHz spectrum band. The network will support fixed wireless internet service in the states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine using wireless base stations and terminals designed and manufactured by Nortel’s partner, Airspan
