Updated:2008/10/22 19:23
Zain Kuwait, part of the Zain group, one of the leading mobile telecommunications providers in the Middle East and Africa, announced that it has successfully migrated all existing Ring Back Tone (Zain Sami3ny) subscribers to the Huawei Color Ring Back Tone (CRBT) system. With the new Ring Back Tone (RBT) service, Zain Kuwait will assume market leadership by becoming the first to introduce RBT services to its subscribers in Kuwait. Explaining the aim behind introducing this new service as a value add to Zain customers, Mr. Barrak Al-Sabeeh, Zain Kuwait’s CEO said:” Zain has been a forerunner in the field of launching new, innovative services; which have always been based on comprehensive field studies through which the company seeks to identify the real desires and requirements of its customers and tailor its new services accordingly”. “Zain always puts its customers first and never hesitates to do whatever it takes to realize their satisfaction” added Mr. Al-Sabeeh, citing the new RBT service as the latest step in that direction. The new RBT service enable customers to define what the callers will hear when the customer is called. Music, songs or voices, it’s up to the subscriber to decide when, and what sound is played. Fully controllable through WAP, SMS, Web or IVR and making the changes to keep up with the latest songs, it enriches the experience of the caller. “This is the first time our technology related to Valued Added Services has been deployed with Zain Kuwait & Huawei implemented the service as top priority. We believe that the successful launching of this project can extend further co-operation between both parties. We will continuously provide our most advantaged technologies and best services to Zain” said Mr. Zha Shao, Managing Director of Huawei Kuwait representative office. By the end of July 2008, Huawei CRBT system has been deployed in over 60 countries worldwide with 190 operators of which 16 are among the world’s top 50 operators and with a total global subscriber base of 360 millions. According to the analyst report of IDC, Huawei CRBT system has achieved world’s No.1 in terms of total wireless CRBT subscribers.
