US equipment vendor Motorola has been selected to provide fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure and end-user devices to Hotwire Communications, which offers broadband internet and IPTV services to multi-family dwellings in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Motorola is supplying its AXS2200 optical line terminals and ONT1400GT optical network terminals, as well as SE5100 series MPEG-4 HD encoders and VIP1200 and VIP1216 set-top boxes.
