A unit of Israel-based telecommunications equipment maker Orckit Communications signed a deal with South Korea's hanarotelecom to provide network infrastructure to deliver internet protocol television services, sending its shares up as much as 8%, a Reuters report said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
IPTV enables content to be offered over the internet instead of being delivered through traditional broadcast formats.
