Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei recorded $12.2 billion, up 50% year-on-year, in contracted sales volume for the first half of 2008, reports Southern Metropolis Daily. Huawei expects contracted sales to come in between $24 billion and $25 billion for the full year with Asia Pacific, excluding China, numbers increasing 56% year-on-year to $3.9 billion. The Shenzhen-based company booked $16 billion in sales revenue in 2007, said the report.
