Alcatel-Lucent believes ongoing consolidation among telecommunications operators may affect the capital spending of those operators, Chief Executive Patricia Russo told a conference call Tuesday.
Alcatel-Lucent is uncertain about the future of code division multiple access, or CDMA, spending in North America after a faster-than-expected decline in the division's second-quarter revenue, Chief Financial Officer Hubert de Pesquidoux said.
The pricing pressures in the industry haven't changed since the start of the year, Michel Rahier, head of Alcatel-Lucent's carrier division, said on the conference call.
